What You’ll Do
Prepare batches of baked items including pastries, breads, cakes, tarts, cookies according to designated recipes
Mix dough, shape bread loaves and rolls, and prep ingredients for next day use
Decorate cakes and platters, add filling to pastries, etc.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of entire bakery station
Follow proper food safety and handling procedures
Take inventory of supplies and ingredients, place orders if needed
Ensure freshness, consistency, and quality presentation of all baked goods
Package and wrap baked goods properly for storage
Collaborate with Executive Chef and kitchen team as necessary
Qualifications
2+ years high-volume baking experience in restaurants or hotels
Knowledge of scratch baking methods, techniques, and specialty ingredients
Attention to detail and pride in your work
Exceptional sanitation and organizational skills
Ability to repetitively lift 30 pounds bags of flour, mixing bowls, etc.
Reliability to work assigned overnight shifts with minimal supervision
Culinary degree preferred but not required
