Northstar Behavioral Health is recruiting for Behavioral Health Technicians. This entry level position will allow you to step into a field where you'll be able to change the lives of individuals suffering from addiction. Some Job Duties May Include:Transport clients to and from appointments, intake pickups, discharge drop offs, etc.Being available to clients for questions and other assistance. Highly dependable and can be counted on to work independently, having the ability to work with little direction. Complete and assisting counselor with intake/admission procedures, orientation of new clients and co-workers. Encourage clients to achieve their goals by functioning as a positive role model. Participate in client recreational activitiesServe as a resource for clients through knowledge of services and opportunities in the community. Administer client medications and documents accordingly.Support staff and director in making decisions. Position Requirements:High school diploma or GED. Free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding hire date and sign a statement attesting to that fact. Must be eighteen years old. Must have valid MN driver's license and acceptable driving record. Physical ability to perform the responsibilities of the position which include, bending, stooping, sitting, walking, and lifting at least 30 pounds.Have, or be willing to obtain once employed, CPR and First Aid trainingsAdditional Preferred Skills/History:Previous experience in the healthcare field (CNA, DSP, or history working in the addiction treatment field)
