As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in driving efficiency, reducing costs, and improving quality throughout our manufacturing facility. You will identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity and ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propose, coordinate, and implement projects that prioritize safety, quality, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve manufacturing productivity.
- Train, coach, and mentor project owners in lean and statistical tools, approaches, and techniques.
- Evaluate and recommend best solutions to manufacturing problems, considering economic return and plant layout compatibility.
- Investigate and solve problems in manufacturing processes, including welding and fixturing.
- Identify and recommend new equipment and manufacturing technologies.
- Prepare capital appropriations as required.
- Develop and document operational procedures, manufacturing routings, and production standards.
- Implement cost-reduction projects using lean manufacturing principles like kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma.
- Administered and led the management of the change process.
- Conduct Process Mapping, PFMEA Analysis, and Control Plan documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience supporting operations/production.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma.
- Bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering (or other degrees with applicable professional experience).
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience using the SAP system.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- Results-oriented approach with a strong drive to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to identify synergies and simplify complex processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
