Manufacturing Engineer
Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Since this is a Manufacturing Engineering position, they should have a minimum of a BS in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering. 2+ experience required**
**On-site only**
They should have thorough mechanically / electrically oriented manufacturing engineering experience (ideally in the Aerospace industry). Some of the resumes indicate that they have ME experience, but it is in food or chemical. Also, some resumes show that they have manufacturing engineering experience as a planner, but not technical manufacturing engineering experience solving problems or responsible
It is also important for them to have completed a significant manufacturing engineering project, ideally one where they led a team to accomplish the individual project tasks.
They also need to have problem solving experience, even better to be green belt or black belt certified.
