Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to initiate and complete technical activities leading to new or improved processes or design for manufacturability for current and next-generation programs. The ideal candidate will analyze and solve complex problems, apply principles of customer-focused quality, and interface with various departments to integrate new products or processes into the existing production area.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to initiate and complete technical activities leading to new or improved processes or design for manufacturability for current and next-generation programs. The ideal candidate will analyze and solve complex problems, apply principles of customer-focused quality, and interface with various departments to integrate new products or processes into the existing production area.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and complete technical activities for new or improved processes or design for manufacturability.
- Analyze and solve problems using basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
- Apply principles of customer-focused quality to meet and exceed customer requirements.
- Interface with Quality and Development organizations to integrate new products or processes.
- Monitor performance of equipment, machines, and tools.
- Correct equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues.
- Create, maintain, and approve device routers and bill of materials.
- Create, maintain, and approve manufacturing procedures and develop new processes.
- Design, coordinate fabrication, and implement process fixturing or gauging.
- Resolve non-conformances and participate on the Material Review Board.
- Analyze and map processes, assess efficiency, and implement complex project activities.
- Oversee equipment installation, modification, training, and preventative maintenance development.
- Identify, select, and provide justification for capital equipment.
- Act as a subject matter expert in multiple areas for manufacturing engineering.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior manufacturing engineers and engineering technicians.
- Participate in customer visits and act as a key contact for customer projects.
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
- Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
- Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly.
- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing process design and validation.
- Expertise in manufacturing equipment and fixture/gauge design.
- Lean manufacturing training skills.
- Strong background in process improvement and continuous improvement.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing.
- Proficiency with fixture design, SolidWorks, manufacturing engineering, and process engineering.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, project management, automation, validation, and machining.
- Ability to provide engineering guidance and project team support.
- Strong leadership skills to facilitate efficient operations within the production area.
- Experience in optimizing existing processes and ensuring production goals are met.
- Judgment within generally defined practices and parameters.
