Job Description
Neurotech Pharmaceuticals is an innovative biopharmaceutical company located in Cumberland, RI, within the realm of Greater Boston’s vast biotechnology landscape. Since our inception more than 20 years ago, we have been developing a proprietary biological drug device combination technology for treatment of a variety of retinal disorders. Our most advanced program is developing a treatment for the orphan disease Macular Telangiectasia Type 2 (MacTel). Our Encapsulated Cell Technology (ECT) platform is designed to deliver a genetically modified neuroprotective factor to slow the progression of this chronic retinal disease.
We are currently seeking to add a Manufacturing Operator who will play a vital role in day-to-day, hands-on CGMP manufacturing operations. The Manufacturing Operator will support all manufacturing activities through cleaning equipment and maintaining cleanroom inventory and stocking supplies.
This is an on-site role in Cumberland, RI. This is not a hybrid or remote opportunity.

Job Requirements
- Support all manufacturing activities
- Perform inspection, cleaning, autoclaving, and maintenance of the equipment in accordance with operational instructions
- Responsible for waste disposal, inventory management, and stocking working cleanroom supplies.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; monitoring environment.
- Documentation by completing forms, reports, logs, and records of equipment and batch records to a CGMP and GDP standard.
- Strictly follow the internal SOPs and external regulations.
- Strictly following health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Be vendor escort to support equipment maintenance activities within cleanroom
- Quick and effective diagnosis and troubleshooting of routine or minor problems
- Perform basic aseptic operations within ISO 5 environment using SOPs and BRs.
- Follow verbal and written procedures in operating production equipment to monitor/perform process steps, while being able to identify subtle variances or escalating events that are non-routine in nature.
- Successfully collaborate and deliver objectives in a fast-paced, highly matrixed work environment.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent. Degree in a related science is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of GMP production experience in medical device or biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in the English language (reading, writing & speaking), and communicate clearly and concisely.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Candidates must have knowledge of GMPs and Standard Operating Procedures
- Candidates must have experience working in a cleanroom environment
- Candidate must have Attention to details and a strong focus on quality and safety
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with basic troubleshooting skills on manufacturing and lab equipment
- Must possess a positive attitude and willingness to perform hands-on daily operations
- Must be able to work independently day to day and collaboratively on project team
