review Engineering Change Orders.Partner with design engineering to provide input in the manufacturability of product and drive through production.Create and optimize work cells and shop floor utilizing LEAN principals, tools, and methods.Adhere to company practices and ISO processes.Interpret specific system and product design requirements which ensure conformance to functional, customer, and operations/manufacturing criteria.Interface internally with all facility associates, management, and staff.Interface externally with customers and/or vendors for the purpose of furnishing, obtaining and/or clarifying information.Provide engineering program/project technical support to both internal and external customers.Communicates clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel, the customer, and vendors as required.Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organizationAdheres to all quality and safety standardsSupports other projects and performs duties as assignedEducation/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:Must be able to speak, read and understand EnglishBS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering/Technology, or similar.3-5 years' experience in similar technical role.Military/ defense experience preferred.Product development experience- concept through production release.Demonstrated experience with work cell layout and production line setup.Experience in a sheet metal and metal fabrication production environment using primarily steel and aluminum alloy; structural shapes and extrusions.Experience with metal fabrication equipment and welding processes, metal prep, and finishing processes.Experience designing weld fixtures and other assembly improvement fixtures.Experience in DFMA analysis, time study, and test reports preferred.Effective oral and written communication skills.Good interpersonal skills.Routinely punctual.Mechanically inclined and able to problem solve with little information.Ability to work autonomously, prioritize work assignments, and multi-task to meet deadlines.Ability to offer their own opinions and commentaries while being flexible and responsive to constructive feedback by managers and peers.Application of technical principles/techniques from established practices, as well as a functional knowledge/understanding of mechanical engineering processes, techniques, and practices to quickly/accurately perceive the fit, form, function, and manufacturability of design.SolidWorks experience required; SW certification a plus, AutoCAD experience helpful.Solidworks Camworks experience a plus.Robotic Welding experience a plus.SAP experience a plus.LEAN/ Six Sigma certification a plus.PC-based computer experience including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential;
