Job Summary
The Supervisor will be responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and directing all daily activities for manufacturing while supporting quality production. Maintain an open line of communication between manufacturing employees and management.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Focuses on driving safety, quality, and productivity.
- Develops, implements, and enforces operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and revenue.
- Provides leadership, management, and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention.
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by dealing directly with customers when planning schedules and other production problem solving issues.
- Work with vendors to maintain equipment and order parts for repairs, as needed.
- Train, maintain, and support safety policies and procedures. Report injuries or potential safety hazards to Human Resources to ensure a safe working environment.
- Actively participates in quality efforts and support the Virtex Quality Policy through accountable action.
- Responsible for compliance to the Virtex Quality Management System and other regulatory and statutory requirements as required by the customer.
- Act as an authorized agent to stop production when nonconformances are noted.
- Accountable to accepting responsibility for continuous on the job training by actively participating in training put on by designated Virtex employees and/or any outside service.
Education and Experience
- Due to ITAR Restrictions, US Citizenship or green card is required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or related work experience.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing experience required, electronics experience preferred. 3 years supervisory experience preferred.

- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control standards.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Flexibility to work extra hours when needed, including weekends.
