Cibes|Symmetry is currently recruiting for Manufacturing Maintenance at our Roanoke, IL Facility.

This is a 1st shift position: 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays for a few hours depending on our workload.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities

· Performs preventative maintenance, operates, and tests machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions; checking blueprints, repair manuals, or catalogs, as necessary

· Dismantles and troubleshoots machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools

· Performs routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, gears, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actions.

· Repairs, cleans, and lubricates machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices

· Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment

· Plans and lays out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams

· May align and balance new equipment after installation

· May perform general handyman repairs or maintenance on the building, including grounds maintenance

· Performs all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures

· Maintains a clean, safe work area free of foreign materials

· Participates in training and cross-training efforts as needed

· Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED JOB SKILLS

· Industrial maintenance technician or mechanic experience

· Ability to read, understand, and apply information from manuals or catalogs

· Properly use a wide variety of tools (manual and power)

· High school diploma, GED or equivalent required


QUALIFICATIONS

· Demonstrated high level of quality in workmanship

· Basic math, reading, and reasoning skills

· Ability to communicate effectively, written and oral

· Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions

· Demonstrated multi-tasking ability to adjust priorities based on manufacturing needs

· High attention to detail

· Ability to work independently or with a team


Supervisory responsibilities

· This position does not include supervisory responsibilities physical demands


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

This position is located in an industrial/production environment, with exposure to:

· Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch

· Regularly required to stand for long periods of time

· Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.

· Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

· Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

· Frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and balance

· Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range

· Noise levels typical of a manufacturing production environment

· Finger Dexterity - The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

· Intermittent exposure to cold or heat

· Ability to work in proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery

Pay depending on experience.

All candidates must pass a drug screen and necessary tests for position.
