Job Summary

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing operations through lean initiatives and implementing innovative manufacturing ideas and concepts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support costing team and customer RFQ's by providing paint and tooling costs for new business. Provide input on paint type feasibility, cost and timing.
  • Utilize and keep the assembly costing model up to date to ensure competitiveness and accuracy of tooling quotes.
  • Responsible for assembly tooling and equipment design approval, timing, feasibility and implementation for all new launch programs.
  • Support launch team, customer and operations team to ensure all key manufacturing deliverables such as cost, timing, quality, rate and testing are achieved and on time.
  • Work closely with operations team to complete paint processes such as robot programming and optimization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience with lean initiatives and implementing innovative manufacturing ideas and concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of assembly tooling and equipment design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD and SolidWorks software
  • Knowledge of safe equipment operation - crane, injection molding machine, paint booth, etc.
