As the International Manufacturing Specialist, you will drive global manufacturing performance improvement through equipment, process engineering, and product engineering collaboration.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Process Leadership:
- Lead technical process improvement and troubleshooting support on metal and plastic fabrication.
- Increase manufacturing productivity as measured by process KPIs.
- Support remote site alignment on manufacturing process standards (GOS) for best practice safety, quality and productivity.
- Coach site manufacturing engineering teams for development
- Production Equipment Strategy:
- Drive improvement plans for helical wire processing equipment.
- Maintain and update global proprietary machine design drawing catalog.
- Lead global machine maintenance strategy with systems to improve asset availability.
- Review and support new capital equipment business case development.
- Product Engineering Collaboration:
- Provide recommendations for product development engineers (Design for Manufacturability).
- Support PLM software implementation.
- Operations support and technical expertise:
- Bring new developments in manufacturing to PLP sites around the world.
- Assess overall operations performance and drive improvement actions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Engineering coupled with equivalent experience.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing technology and processing methods
- Minimum of five years of management experience.
- Ability to use a computer and applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Maintain familiarity with manufacturing, inventory control, and costing software applications
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong skills in interacting with and communicating with people are essential.
- Proven ability to simultaneously handle a wide assortment of projects involving several departments and locations is important.
- Excellent organizational skills required.
- Strong project management and follow-up is essential.
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard plant and office setting and to use standard office. equipment, including computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.

- Fulltime
