If you share our passion and commitment, please apply today!Position Summary:The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, optimizing, and the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production of complex composite armor products. This role requires a strong background in process engineering, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement techniques to enhance productivity, quality, cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Interface with design engineering during product development to ensure products are developed for manufacturability.Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing processes for the production of complex composite armor products.Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Design and optimize workflow, layout, and equipment to maximize efficiency and productivity.Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and processes.Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and improve product quality.Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations and quality issues.Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and materials to improve manufacturing capabilities.Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in all manufacturing processes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of New Product Development and Process Engineering experience.Proven experience as a Manufacturing Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the production of products produced from composite materials.Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques.Experience in the Automotive and/or Aerospace Industries is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data to make informed decisions.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing setting.Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software is a plus.Work Environment:The position is primarily based in a manufacturing environment and may require occasional travel to other facilities or supplier locations.Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.PHYSICAL DEMANDSSitting for long periods. Dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper; occasional lifting of items weighing up to (25) twenty-five pounds such as files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials. Moving from place to place within the office; minimum reaching for items above and below desk level.
