The individual in this position will develop and execute on-time delivery for key customer projects. This position requires continuous interaction with project management, materials & planning, manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering, product engineering, quality assurance, product testing, and facilities to address all project actions.Your Challenge:Proactively resolve technical, people, and production issues to ensure success of the team and excellent manufacturing of parts and equipment to support customer delivery schedules in a safety & quality first culture.Develops critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive on-time delivery, world class quality performance, and business process performance improvementCoordinates the planning and execution of manufacturing schedules across the entire business team based on customer delivery schedules, and plant capacity.Plan, prepare, and update to Current Status of each Critical Product delivery item (i.e., Turbine, etc.)Prepare and prioritize Pacing Item(s) that drive ScheduleConduct daily business performance discussion to drive Issue resolutionEngage appropriate departments and gain stakeholder alignmentDevelop Recovery Plans to support product delivery schedulesStrategic Planning to ensure on-time deliveriesPlans and coordinates work assignments in support of production plans via coordination between Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials & Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, and Facilities.Lead Daily Production Control Center (PCC) Meeting, with the followingPresent accurate and timely information of all critical delivery items (i.e., turbines, etc.)Develop and share daily Productivity MetricsLead efforts to ensure Daily Shift Commitment by Shifts and Skills support customer deliveryPresent and manage various Progress Trackers related to all major components for all itemsDevelop and update Issue Tracker with all Pacing Issues affecting delivery and performanceManage bottlenecks to drive continuous improvement and decrease lead timeEnsures the product is manufactured to specifications and procedures under the guidelines of verbatim compliance to work instructions.Plans and controls the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and techniques that enhance efficiency and quality.Coaches and trains Functional Leadership in mixed model LEAN principles to drive increased throughput, via waste elimination.Prepare and deliver daily work to be accomplished by Shifts and SkillsPrepare and deliver an in-depth overview of weekly Work Planned vs. Work AccomplishedPrepare and deliver an overview of the critical constrained resources and current challengesArrange and execute appropriate Technical Advisors, and Execution Teams on all Major Pacing Operations and/or improvement projectsDefine and implement individual training programs based on the assessment of individual performance.Your Expertise:BS degree in Engineering or equivalent mix of working experience/education. An advanced degree in business and/or an engineering discipline is a plus.Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience in a Manufacturing environment, preferably high mix, low volumeSeven (7) years of experience in a managerial levelProven track record of operational, hands-on factory experience and meeting deliverables.Must be a sole US citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearanceWho We Are: Our ValuesEnvironmental, Social and GovernanceCurtiss-Wright Steam & Air Solutions (SAS), a business unit of Curtiss-Wright, designs, manufactures, tests and provides - Navy steam turbines and steam valves, nuclear steam turbines, and aftermarket steam parts, upgrades, and overhauls.
