Ensure assembly operations conform to general and mandatory specifications. Manage the implementation of new processes and procedures with regard to the introduction of new products or equipment. Coordinate with other plants to develop and implement standard operating procedures for all assembly and quality processes. Develop and implement improved standard procedures through the lean process and tools; document so improved processes can become organization standard. Train supervision on newly introduced assembly procedures in the general specifications. Train associates in standard inspection procedures and process audit techniques. Create training documents and coordinate training activities with other Manufacturing Quality Engineers. Perform other duties as assigned. Process improvement knowledge in a manufacturing environment such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc., to drive operational excellence system is a plus. Six Sigma Green Belt training or certification required. Engineering experience in process design/improvement, new product implementation. Up to 25% travel is required.
