Evening and Night Shift
2nd and 3rd shift
Summary:
As a Manufacturing Quality Technician, you will provide support to all departments within the company to ensure that products meet customer expectations as well as any internal requirements through new mold qualification, establishing measurement methods, creation of inspection instructions, and metrology related activities.
Responsibilities:
- Performs part inspections (dimensional and visual), as directed
- Creates/de-bugs/optimizes inspection routines using vision system and CT scanner
- Prepares sample parts
- Assists engineering and manufacturing in the approval of new tooling, as directed
- Performs/updates First Article Inspection (FAI) layouts, including verification and reporting
- Performs and documents dimensional studies, including Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R) and Capability Studies
- Coordinates Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) reporting and customer submission with Quality Engineering
- Assists engineering and manufacturing to resolve existing product issues
- Creates and maintains various quality forms and documentation (ex. Quality Inspection Plans – QIP, quality alerts, work instructions, and other manufacturing documents)
- Creates and maintains quality procedures and work instructions, as directed by Quality Engineer or Quality Manager
- Reviews and numbers part prints, and creates and maintains part print database & files
- Updates ISO documentation as directed and approved by Quality Engineer or Quality Manager
- Performs gauge calibration, monitors outside calibration, and maintains calibration records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Works well independently (self-motivated), as well as in a team environment
- Maintains a positive attitude and strong individual work ethic
- Is capable of multi-tasking
- Possesses strong math skills
- Reads and understands blueprints
- Basic knowledge of standard drafting practices, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Has experience or education in injection molding or plastics industry in a quality control function and has experience with OGP systems
- Displays proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills
Job Type: Full-time / Direct Hire
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00/hour
