A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Photonic Solutions Division at MKS, you will provide overall engineering support to optical fabrication, specifically lens manufacturing using various deterministic methods. In addition, provide independent review of processes, lead improvements efforts, and drive closure to process improvements. Interaction with technicians to provide sound technical guidance will be important. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

* Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes in a production AND clean room environment: develop, evaluate, improve and monitor manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards

* Implement statistical process control tools and monitoring and analyzing the results

* Conduct cross functional reviews to ensure collaboration and cohesive manufacturing and measurement processes for new designs

* Proactively identify areas for process and operational improvements, offering recommendations and driving initiatives to optimize ERP usage

* Understand production cell inputs and outputs and develop methods for continually monitoring them.

* Mentor all levels of the organization to understand and participate in kaizen, using tools such as value stream mapping, standardized work/combination sheets, poke-yoke, and capacity modeling

Skills You Bring:

* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Optical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent direct experience

* 5+ years of job-related work experience Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills

* Experience creating manufacturing methods and procedures

Salary Pay Range: $78,400 to $145,600 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
