Position Overview:
To support production with the necessary tooling and processes to complete orders in an efficient and timely manner. Continually develop new processes and tooling to improve cost and quality. Maintain the documentation of tooling installation, routers, procedures and ECNs for these processes.

Normal standing, bending, walking or lifting ability associated with an office environment. Must be capable of communicating verbally with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to multi-task and coordinate.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Refine the assembly process to reach the goals of the department.
- Define, document and implement new and revised process changes to improve quality, cost and lead time.
- Attend and support regularly scheduled P4 team within the department.
- Continually seek to improve the utilization of manpower, machinery and materials.
- Review Fleet orders to determine the most cost-effective manufacturing processes.
- Train/educate employees in the correct methods for our manufacturing operations.
- Responsible for the purchasing and upkeep of new fabrication equipment.
- Create and maintain layouts for current departments and future expansions.
- Purchases tooling and consumables for existing equipment.
- Design fixtures and gauges to help maintain and support the needs of the fabrication.
- Process engineering change orders (ECO's) for fabrication.
Position Requirements:
- Degree in engineering or equivalent experience is required.
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with tool design and industrial engineering a plus.
- Must be familiar with manufacturing methods and have a strong emphasis on welding and finishing of light-gauge steel.
- SolidWorks, AutoCAD and basic MC Office knowledge a must.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a cross functional team and communicate progress across all levels of management.
