Position Description:Be able to analyze the validity of automotive supplier part pricing and tooling uplift requests in a service environment for change in mfg. process, volume impact, and inflation. Calculate a should cost. Be able to explain cost changes to internal and external stake holders that have competing agendasSkills:Understand various manufacturing process and how the switch from high volume to low volume impacts costStamping, Machining, Injection molding, Casting, Wire Harness , AsmCalculate, analyze, and adjust estimatesEfficiency, floorspace, and inflation impact labor and burden ratesAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusionsStrong communication skills (both verbal and written, speaking and listening)Operate in a grey space environment with minimal direction and multiple projects The position deals with internal combustion engines and across all commodities.In the next 5 years a transition to BEV's will require an understanding of Motors, electronics, batteries SoftwareExcel, PowerPoint, CAD/Read blueprints, Estimating Software (FACTON), Company purchasing systems (SAP) Qualifications5 years of experience in estimating with mfg. experienceBachelor of Science (Engineering, Technology, or Finance related fields)Some travel requiredExperience Required:5 years of experience in estimating with manufacturing experience.Education Required:Bachelor of Science (Engineering, Technology)
