DRS Industries is hiring: Quality Manager, Manufacturing in Holland

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Quality Manager is personally responsible for completing all Quality Director assigned tasks pertaining to the DRS quality systems and all product related tasks, to obtain optimum performance of operations and customer satisfaction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ability to perform all tasks required of the Inspector, Coordinator, Quality Assurance Technician and Quality Engineer.

· Capable of training and directing all reporting positions

· Ability to create comprehensive documents for quality and process within the QMS system.

· Comprehension of the APQP process and the elements of PPAP

· Authority to sign off for PSW

· Program manage / multitask ability / organizational skillset, critical

· Proficient with Microsoft office products, understand limited use of Mini-Tab / charting of ongoing process capability

· Direct and monitor effectiveness of Quality personnel

· Ability to create DCC CMM programs in current software

· Attend onsite and offsite meetings as directed

· Complete understanding of the calibration of instruments

· Capable of the internal use of document control

· Problem solving skills for true root cause analysis (PSTAP)

· Proper use of all quality related logs and matrixes for the housekeeping of the quality metrics

· Trained auditor for the QMS EMS systems

· IMDS entry

· Ability to respond to REACH, ROHS, Conflict of Minerals questions from customers and interact with suppliers on the same.

· Use of 6 S principles, error and mistake proofing.

· Ford certified capacity planner

· Ability to “take over” or fill in as representative for portions of a 3rd parts on site audit

· Ability to “take over” daily functions and decision making of the quality director in her/her absence

· Ability to perform off-site supplier audits

· Ability to travel as directed by Director

WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Associates degree or 5 years related work experience

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to lift 35 lbs.

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

· Standing, lifting, bending on a consistent basis

· Available to work overtime, as directed

· Ability to communicate well with customers

· Desire to continuously improve oneself
