Pay:$80,000-$105,000 p/a + Equity + Benefits

The Quality team works alongside specialised roles in supply chain management, product oversight, and fuel systems. They ensure regulatory compliance for design, production, and conformity with aerospace standards.

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Inspector to join their quality department. A background in Aerospace, Aircraft Maintenance, Aircraft Systems, or Manufacturing is highly desired. Successful candidates will demonstrate great attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to interpret approved design data.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform incoming inspections of purchased parts, components, materials, and assemblies based on engineering design data, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document inspection results by completing inspection plans and reports.
  • Verify finish/condition, dimensions, and configuration per inspection plans.
  • Review supplier documentation for compliance with engineering requirements, including special processes.
  • Perform and record first article inspections in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Document nonconforming conditions of parts and assemblies as necessary.
  • Maintain inspection data and tool calibration systems.
  • Assist with internal audits and external service provider audits as needed.


Skills and Abilities:


  • Proficiency with CMM or PCMM for dimensional inspection on multi-axis machined parts.
  • Experience inspecting electronics, motor components, and cable harnesses per industry standards.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems such as AS9100, AS9145, or ISO9001.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulatory forms and standards is a plus.


Qualifications:


  • 3-7 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing preferably in aerospace, automotive or manufacturing
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T standards.
  • Proficiency in using dimensional measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gages) and applying shop math and trigonometry.
  • Experience with SPC run charts, Gage R&R, and measurement system analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
