Buyer (Industrial Manufacturing)
Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior to Mid-level Buyers to join our growing procurement team. In this role, you will compile information and records to prepare purchase orders for materials, ensuring a smooth procurement process. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining inventory levels and supporting our manufacturing operations.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Sage ERP and Bill of Materials (BOM) in a manufacturing environment
- Background in manufacturing or equipment procurement
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalency years of experience in the field
- Experience in procurement or a related industry, preferably within Electro-Mechanical, Capital equipment, Industrial Machinery, or Electrical Industrial Control Components manufacturing environments
Reasoning & Mathematical Skills:
- Competence in calculating figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Procure and source services, equipment, supplies, and materials essential for
- operations.
- Fulfill sales orders and inventory needs by placing Purchase Orders for designated product lines.
- Deliver regular updates on procurement performance metrics, cost-saving initiatives, and activities.
- Award contracts to bidders or place orders with suppliers by comparing prices, specifications, and delivery dates.
- Negotiate and establish pricing for purchase orders and contracts.
- Verify specifications of purchasing requests.
- Continuously evaluate frequent suppliers to identify issues related to pricing, billing, delivery, or quality.
- Confer with suppliers about late deliveries.
- Expedite vendor/supplier deliveries to ensure timely receipt of supplies and materials.
- Schedule and expedite purchase orders based on job requirements.
- Utilize ERP system to generate RFQs and implement Purchase Order procedures.
- Develop and nurture supplier relationships to foster beneficial long-term associations.
- Consult catalogs and interview suppliers to gather prices and specifications.
