Manufacturing Technician (Union) – Sylmar, CA

Job Summary:

Responsible for the manufacturing, repairing, carpentry, and ensuring the quality of various components used in recreational vehicles (RVs). Working on a production line, you will play a crucial role in building RVs by following specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. This position requires hands-on assembly, use of tools, and teamwork to meet production goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assemble, install, and secure components such as flooring, slide outs, plumbing, wiring, electrical systems, framing, cabinetry, fabrication, mobilizing assets within the site as needed, wood framing, wall assembly (mounting), and other features based on design specifications.
  • Operate tools, machinery, and equipment effectively and safely.
  • Perform hands on operations with both large and small fragile assemblies.
  • Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
  • Communicate with supervisors and colleagues to address production issues, report defects, and suggest improvements.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Inspect materials and equipment, identifying and reporting any repair or maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all production operations are performed on time, safely, and in a professional manner.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of furthering organizational growth and ensuring an efficient, effective work environment.

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical or vocational training is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a similar role, preferably in automotive or RV manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with various hand and power tools.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team and communicate effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills to address and report assembly or quality issues.
  • Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
  • Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Please note, the candidate selected fort this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and drug screening.

Work Environment:

The role is based in a manufacturing plant where safety, cleanliness, and noise control are prioritized. Regular use of safety gear is required, and employees must comply with all health and safety protocols.

Compensation:

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements and this role’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, the pay rate this position is $27.30 per hour.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including but not limited to market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment. In compliance with the California Law, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.

Quixote Studios reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above
