About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing to join their team. The successful candidate will be a senior leader with a strong background in manufacturing processes and supply chain management. This role is pivotal in driving strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality, while ensuring that manufacturing operations align with the company's long-term goals. The VP will be responsible for leading a team of Directors and senior managers, overseeing financial performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and safety. Key duties include implementing long-term strategies, mentoring and managing the team, establishing and monitoring KPIs, and working with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing inventories and integrate quality disciplines. Applicants for the Vice President of Manufacturing position at the company must hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field, with a Master’s or MBA preferred. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is also required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' experience in controls engineering/manufacturing operations, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role. Proficiency in P21 ERP and other manufacturing software is essential, as is a proven track record in managing large-scale operations and P&L responsibilities. The role demands a strong commitment to safety culture, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to lead with a focus on employee development. The VP will be expected to travel 50%-60% of the time to manufacturing sites for compliance and employee development purposes.
