As the Lead Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with a world-class company in the life sciences industry. You will be responsible for assembling and testing electro mechanical assemblies, as well as providing guidance to manufacturing technicians and overseeing workflow.Job Responsibilities:Prepare and integrate sub components for system testing.Test products and subassemblies for functionality and quality.Resolve issues related to equipment, devices, or products.Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements.Provide guidance and training to other manufacturing technicians.Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the function and application of the product.Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.Ensure that quality standards are met.Identify and resolve the root cause of excessive waste, scrap, labor, re-work, or customer returns.Collaborate with engineering in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.Perform light equipment preventative maintenance and repair.Final acceptance testing & applications testing of nProber productsJob Requirements:Associate degree in an Electronics or Technology field and/or 10 years of related experience.Minimum of 10 years' experience in the testing and maintenance of intricate electrical and mechanical components and systems.Experience in a fast-paced work environment, diligently adhering to established protocols and production timelines.Strong work ethic and exceptional organizational skills.Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.Capable of lifting 35 pounds unassisted.Able to work sitting or standing for extended periods of time.Desired Skills:Appropriate visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to assemble, manipulate, and test small, precision electronic and mechanical components.Experience using an optical microscope for assembly of small components.Experience using a SEM or FIB for inspection.Proficiency in reading and understanding wiring diagrams, pinout instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.Proficient with standard electronic assembly and testing equipment, including soldering irons, multimeters, crimp tools, torque tools, etc.Diligent to detail, motivated to take initiative, and capable of working independently.Familiarity with quality management systems and safety programs.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Basic computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Some of the benefits you can expect:Medical, Dental, & Vision benefits that become effective on Day 1 of employment.Eligibility for paid time off along with company Paid holidays.401K program with up to 6% matching.Tuition Reimbursement programs to assist with college education.Company Employee Stock Purchase plan Programs.Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce.
