ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop new or modified processes for the fabrication of MEMS devices for use in semiconductor test products.
  • Help maintain equipment and provide documentation for equipment maintenance.
  • Design and execute experiments.
  • Learn process windows through hands-on processing.
  • Use metrology tools to quantify experimental results.
  • Analyze data statistically, write reports, and present results.
  • Define, specify, evaluate and implement new processing equipment.
  • Identify and implement new materials.
  • Review of processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of semiconductors.
  • Characterize processes to understand sources of variation and work to reduce them.
  • Setup metrology methods associated with the control of fab processes.
  • Coordinate and execute problem solving efforts, hands on troubleshooting of module-level and integrated process, and equipment issues.
  • Support new process/product requirement development activities.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Must have a BS degree or higher in Engineering or Science.
  • 5+ years of experience operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and developing processes with high vacuum plasma tools (RIE, CVD, PVD).
  • Broad knowledge of MEMS, thin film, semiconductor BEOL, wafer-scale packaging, thin-film, or flex circuit processing
  • Mastery of engineering statistical analysis including DoE and SPC using JMP, Minitab or equivalent
  • Ability to influence others through leadership and technical expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment wearing protective clothing such as a bunny suit and goggles for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.


The pay range for this role in Beaverton, OR is between $109,000 and $151,935. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
