Established in 1965, Modelcraft Co. is an AS9100-certified CNC turning and milling job shop that manufactures precision-machined parts for the medical, aerospace, and commercial industries.

The Position:
We are looking to bring on a Manufacturing Engineer for the following:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety in machining operations.
- Analyze and implement improvements in CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, and material handling.
- Create and maintain process documentation, including setup sheets, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Collaborate with machinists, operators, and quality control teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Design and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling for enhanced precision and productivity.
- Monitor and reduce cycle times, scrap, and rework rates through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead projects focused on automation and lean manufacturing to streamline workflows.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to develop and simulate machining processes as needed.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff on new or updated processes.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and safety standards.
About You:
- - Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- - 3+ years of experience in machining or process engineering.
- - Proficiency in CNC machining, tooling, and fixture design.
- - Skilled in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
- - Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement methods.
- - Familiarity with GD&T, blueprint reading, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
- - Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- - Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
