Job Description: Manufacturing Compounder

Full-time Shift(s): Mon – Fri 7:00am – 5:00pm

Location: Boynton Beach, FL

Payrate: $18.00/hr. - $25.00/hr.

OVERVIEW:

Kinon Surface Design, specializing in custom panel manufacturing, is currently seeking candidates for a full-time Manufacturing Tech position within our fast-paced, state-of-the-art 40,000 sq. ft. air-conditioned production facility.

The Manufacturing Compounder works in the pouring department. This role is responsible for tracking production procedures for mixing and pouring of our handmade product, as well as mixing batches of pigment/resin to be poured. This job requires heavy math skills and more than basic knowledge of Excel. Previous knowledge of mixing/pouring including ratios a plus. Tech is responsible for ordering materials/products from vendors for production and monitoring material inventory. The tech works closely with production to keep jobs on schedule and that each job adheres to customer specifications and Kinon standards.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EXCEL SKILLS ARE AN ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT – Must be better than basic.
  • Complex Math – Ability to measure/mix production materials properly based on batch ratios
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding lunch
  • Ability to move and lift 50-75 pounds – Drums are pushed/pulled with carts
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with vendors and other team members
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established production hours to support Kinon; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 1 year of specialized experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Applicants must pass a drug screening test prior to being hired.
