Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and communicate production timelines.
- Communicate with customer service and update availability dates on customer orders, which may include expediting orders and re-scheduling production.
- Analyze production data to update lead times.
- Provide delivery dates for overdue customer orders.
- Reviews factory orders for accuracy and allocates work to factory personnel.
- Analyzes and helps to improve the root causes behind late deliveries.
- Utilize the company's ERP system to:
- Print and release all jobs to the factory.
- Close jobs as they are completed.
- Plan, organize, and optimize the workflow for all work centers.
- Make recommendations to help increase production while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Support the plant manager to optimize production output, product quality and, on-time shipping.
- Assist management in conducting weekly production meetings.
- Monitor operations and recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Reviews job summaries, addresses any immediate necessary corrections, and identifies areas of improvement.
- Helps to monitor and correct labor collection.
- Reviews, understands, and helps to improve labor and material variances.
- Influence and learn from senior management.
- Stay up to date with latest production management and manufacturing best practices and concepts.
- Be comfortable filling in as the location leader to cover for vacations.
Job Requirements:
- 3 years of related experience in the manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complexities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in production planning software, ERP systems and MS Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
