2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:40 PM - 2:00 AM + 10% shift premium

We are looking for "Entry Level" candidates to join our Forge/Warehouse Team. Successful candidates will receive a comprehensive training program with opportunities to advance, develop skills and experience in forging. This is hot, heavy, dirty work that will challenge you - but will also reward you with great pay, benefits, and stability.

Forge Utility Responsibilities:

  • Locate material according to shop order information, verify material identifty, visually examime material for defects, and transport material, scrap, and forgings throughout production area.
  • Operate and refuel long reaches and fork trucks as needed.
  • Verify material identity before loading into furnace.
  • Fill in as forge crew member as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Blacksmith or appropriate forge personnel to coordinate pre-forging loads.
  • Manage the loading, unloading and operation of the furnace to maintain production schedules for forging and cooling cycles, following the forge process manual.
  • Grind material defects with hand grinder or overhead grinder, load and secure material.
  • Use welder/grinder to repair tools as needed
  • Extract scrap materials from press pits with shovel, transfer scrap to designated dumpsters by metal type.
  • Unload cooling pits and transport parts to designated areas.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • As an employee-owner, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and follow both oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, analyze situations and conditions, implement solutions and work under deadline pressure.
  • Excellent attendance and safety history
  • Basic computer skills, blueprint reading and knowledge of simple math concepts
  • Ability to maintain a valid forklift operating certificate.

.Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

  • Ability to work in outdoor setting in various weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, bend and lift weights to 64 lbs
  • Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration
