Job Description
Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Material Handler are to fulfill orders within the time required to meet customer dates using electric forklifts and Swing-Reach turret trucks. Ensure counts and documentation are accurate, and hand off packaged/wrapped orders to the correct shipping desk. Complete department material requests and communicate on the status of orders through established procedures like email or other methods. Secondary responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, completing quick ship orders, consolidating, cycle counting, cleaning and other projects as assigned.
This opening is for Second Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Duties & Responsibilities
- Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, including housekeeping practices and spill response; participate in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits
- Perform tasks in accordance with quality, DOT and hazardous material requirements when loading and unloading trucks
- Prepare orders for shipment for your designated material handling position, complete quick ship orders, consolidate and complete cycle counts as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor or Material Handler Facilitator
- Place finished goods, materials and supplies in the corresponding warehouse rack/s
- Check for and fulfill material requests from other departments in a timely manner
- Collect and properly dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, strapping, and other debris; maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Material Handler Facilitator
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work at heights in a Swing-Reach truck and other types of forklifts
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Willingness and ability to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes, fall protection harness
- Job requirements include standing, bending, twisting, and climbing stairs and/or ladders
- Read and comprehend written and spoken (English) instructions and/or protocols
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations
- Basic mathematical skills
Education & Experience
Preferred:
● Experience working in SAP & TekRF scanners
- Experience with Google, Google Docs Sheets
- 1 year of material handler and/or warehouse experience
- Experience operating a forklift and/or Swing-Reach Turret truck or Transtacker in a manufacturing area
