Job Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data into our systems, ensuring data integrity and completeness. The Data Entry Technician will work closely with other departments to verify and correct data discrepancies, and maintain data quality standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter data from various sources into the company database with speed and accuracy.
- Verify accuracy of data by comparing it to source documents and detecting errors or missing information.
- Ensure proper use of data standards and adhere to company procedures and policies.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve data issues and maintain data integrity.
- Prepare and organize data for input into designated databases and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with data cleanup and maintenance projects as needed.
- Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations, and perform backup operations.
- Respond to queries for information and access relevant files.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a data entry technician or similar role.
- Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
- Basic understanding of databases and data entry systems.
- Great attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification will be an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data entry for large-scale databases.
- Familiarity with administrative duties.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
