Job Description:

Rappahannock Community College (RCC) is a two-year public institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). Established in 1971 as a comprehensive community college, RCC serves the residents of Essex, Gloucester, King and Queen, King George, King William, Lancaster, Mathews, Middlesex, New Kent, Northumberland, Richmond, and Westmoreland counties with quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities.

Rappahannock Community College, a two-campus institution serving a rural and diverse 12-county area in the Chesapeake Bay region of Virginia, seeks applicants for part-time phlebotomy instructors at our Glenns campus as well as our remote clinical agencies to provide laboratory and clinical supervision for phlebotomy students. Phlebotomy instructors report to the Program Head for Nurse Aide and Phlebotomy in the Division of Health Sciences at RCC. Adjunct instructors are invited and encouraged to participate in the governance of the educational unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

Phlebotomy Instructors for the Career Studies Certificate (CSC) in Phlebotomy

Minimum requirements: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, National certification in Medical Laboratory Technology and/or Phlebotomy, and at least two years of full-time experience in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred requirements: Baccalaureate of Science (BS) in Medical Laboratory Technology with national certification and at least one year of experience teaching in an adult education program. Must possess a strong desire to teach adult learners.
