Position Summary
PLEASE NOTE: This position is for theUNM-Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 138 miles west ofAlbuquerque, NM.
The University of New Mexico-Gallup Branch, Education,Health and Human Services Division, seeks to hire a Temporary Part-Time Facultymember(s) to teach face-to-face courses listed below, based on departmentalneed:
PBT101 Phlebotomy Technician (8 crs)
PBT102L Certified Phlebotomy Technician Clinical (4 crs)
HCHS101 Phlebotomy (1cr)
UNM Gallup is a two-year branchcampus of the University of New Mexico located approximately 138 miles westof Albuquerque.The University of New Mexico established branchcolleges to provide the highest quality of education for students pursuingpost-secondary education at different locations throughout the state. Branchcolleges respond specifically to the unique needs and multicultural backgroundsof their respective communities by offering community education programs,career and technical education including certificate and associate degreeprograms, and transfer programs that prepare students for upper divisionentry into colleges and universities.
The Education, Health and Human Services Division at UNM Gallup Branch is seeking qualified temporarypart-time faculty members to teach lower division classes in various coursesor topics as specified above. UNM Gallup instructors are responsible for allaspects of any class they are teaching including but not limited to meetingface-to-face with the class during assigned times that may include eveningsor weekends, content delivery, assignment development, grading assignments,reporting of grades, and assessment of student learning as outlined by thedivision chair.
Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by studentenrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven bygraduation requirements.Positions may be filled or eliminated eachsemester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses.Candidates who are selected for these positions will report to thedivision chair.
Wages
Adjunct Faculty are currently compensated on the basis of their credentialsand credit hour course loads, as follows:

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current New Mexico and/or National Phlebotomy Certification
- Completed 12 college credit hours in health science related courses
- Demonstrated ability to work with groups in a collaborative atmosphere
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate, Bachelor degree in health sciences or related field
- Current New Mexico and/or National Phlebotomy Certification orhigher certification in a health-related field
- One year of teaching experience
- Knowledge of education methods as well as current certificationprocedures
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity,inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diversecommunities
