Job Summary:
Responsible for performing phlebotomy and various technical, non-technical, and clerical functions. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
- Completion of approved Phlebotomy program including clinicals with a minimum of 100 draws OR 6 months of related health care experience including direct patient contact.
- Phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory/phlebotomy setting, inpatient and/or outpatient draws preferred.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
LICENSURE:
- ASCP certification preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Ability to read and write necessary to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs and complete required documentation.
- Basic arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments and complete count sheets are required.
- Basic computer, problem-solving and good communication skills are required.
