We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will provide specialized care to patients with mental health and behavioral disorders, supporting their journey to recovery. Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Schedule: Night (4x12 Hours) 19:00 7:00
Unit: Clinical Services / Behavioral
What You'll Do:
As a Behavioral Health RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing mental health and behavioral issues. Your responsibilities include conducting mental health assessments, administering medications, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will support patients in managing symptoms, coping with stress, and navigating their recovery journey through therapeutic communication and interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with mental health and behavioral conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and provide education on medication management and treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including risk assessments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Support patients in managing symptoms, coping with stress, and improving overall mental health through therapeutic communication and interventions.
- Monitor patients for changes in behavior, mood, and physical condition, and report any concerns to the healthcare team promptly.
- Assist in crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and the management of acute psychiatric episodes.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, helping them understand the diagnosis, treatment options, and recovery process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- RN license in State of Assignment or compact license
- 2 years of experience as a traveler 3 years with no travel
- Must live 100 miles from Facility
- Covid Vaccine
- Flu Vaccine
