HIT Specialists Infusion Pharmacy is a friendly, full-service infusion pharmacy located in NW Albuquerque. Due to growth in our financially strong, patient-oriented, family-friendly practice, we have an opening for a Clinical Nurse Manager. We offer an attractive salary and benefits package. As Clinical Nurse Manager, you will participate in and oversee the pharmacy's clinical nursing operations. Duties include hiring, training/development, and supervising case management and field staff as they endeavor to provide industry-leading patient care while adhering to federal and state regulations and following agency policies and procedures.


Basic job responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Quality assurance including reviewing charts and notes
  • Staff education
  • Manages the quality and timeliness of daily functions through scheduling, monitoring attendance, and supervising assigned staff
  • Knowledge of leading practice in clinical care and payor requirements
  • Working knowledge of managed care and the home health continuum, as well as utilization management and case management
  • Working knowledge of the concepts associated with Performance Improvement
  • Plans, organizes and directs overall clinical operations to provide comprehensive and excellent patient care in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines
  • Develops and implements nursing service objectives, processes, policies, and procedures to maintain superb patient care and compliance
  • Responsible for providing safe direct and indirect nursing care in a compassionate manner to include complete patient assessment, implementation of physician orders including administration of infused or injectable medication, education of patients regarding infused standard and biologic medications, and monitoring of patient response.
  • Completes required patient care documentation in a timely manner.
  • Works independently in managing patient needs and manages time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsible for occasionally preparing and mixing drugs for safe medication administration
  • Assists with managing and ordering infusion supplies and medications.
  • Strong venous access skills, independent in PIV placement and care.
  • Strong central line skills (ports, PICC lines, midlines), accessing, lab draws and dressing changes.
  • Maintains knowledge and proficiency of infused standard and biologic medications and current infusion practices.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of infusion pumps.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include superior interpersonal and patient contact skills, excellent telephone manners, and strong computer skills.
  • Work under minimal supervision and have the ability to remain calm and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.



The Ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Highly organized
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the issues related to home delivery of sterile medications
  • 1-3 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Ability to review and utilize quality assurance programs and protocols to identify and resolve issues
  • Strong follow-up, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong history of compliance with all regulations and clinical system
  • Ability to work with a wide range of personality types, assist with training of per diem nurses, when needed, and assist case coordinators as needed.



Requirements:

  • Must be an RN licensed in the state of New Mexico
  • 1-3 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Advanced Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current CPR certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
