Make a difference as a Quality Assurance Coordinator-RN

As the Quality Assurance Coordinator-RN at Wilber Care Center, you will lead the charge in ensuring excellence in resident outcomes and superior medical care. Your role will be crucial in driving quality assurance and improvement initiatives, focusing on compliance with federal and state regulations. You will be responsible for completing essential tasks such as the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy and procedures. In this role, you will be in charge of accurate and thorough completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Area Assessments (CAA's) and Care Plans to guarantee the highest standards of care. Additionally, you will play a key role in employee development by training new staff members, identifying educational needs, and implementing programs to foster professional growth.

What we're looking for in a Quality Assurance Coordinator-RN

To excel in the role of Quality Assurance Coordinator-RN at Wilber Care Center, candidates must possess a strong foundation of skills and knowledge. Essential requirements include a deep understanding of Medicare regulations and coverage guidelines in skilled nursing settings, familiarity with case mix guidelines tied to state-specific reimbursement models, and a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska. A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is necessary, along with a comprehensive grasp of nursing practices, medical protocols, and state and federal regulations pertaining to long-term care facilities.

Preference is given to candidates with previous experience as an MDS Coordinator and at least two years of professional background in staff development. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high-quality care standards and a drive for continuous improvement in resident outcomes and employee development.
