Job Description: We are currently seeking friendly and reliable individuals to join our team as Retail Store Cashiers. Responsibilities:

- Scan and ring up merchandise accurately and efficiently using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring that prices and discounts are applied correctly.
- Process cash, credit card, and debit card transactions with accuracy and integrity, handling payments, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking bags, cleaning surfaces, and replenishing supplies as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient checkout process.
- Verify age identification for restricted purchases, such as alcohol or tobacco products, in compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns, resolving issues, and escalating complex inquiries to the appropriate supervisor or manager as needed.
- Promote special offers, discounts, and loyalty programs to customers, encouraging participation and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members, including sales associates and managers, to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers and achieve store goals and targets.
- Follow all safety and security procedures to prevent theft, loss, and shrinkage, including cash handling and store opening/closing procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role preferred, with a strong understanding of retail operations and POS systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers and team members in a friendly and professional manner.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to perform mathematical calculations and handle cash transactions with precision.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic cash registers or POS systems.
