Job Description
Receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating and coordinating personnel policies and procedures. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements and enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results. Maintains warehouse staff by orienting, and training new and existing employees. Supervises and coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees as needed.
Extended driving will regularly be required to drive to our other location in Carson City, with an occasional overnight.
Responsibilities:
- Direct responsibility for daily operations of the Warehouse.
- Be a motivated self-starter, you’ll be a team of one, of a busy warehouse.
- Audit ordering, receiving, inventory management.
- Receive and unload incoming product while verifying accuracy of shipment and inspection for damages, loss, or defects.
- Maintain product, tools, equipment, and work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Perform inventory control.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Organize space in the warehouse and perform cleaning and organizational duties.
- Work with installation, repair team members, and transportation staff to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Ensure that company transport vehicles are maintained in good working conditions.
Abilities:
- Experience as a Warehouse Manager.
- 3-5 years Demonstrated Management of a Warehouse is required.
- Experience and ability to drive a fork-lift, operate a manual pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge:
- Strong computer skills, be able to quickly learn new software and be comfortable working on a tablet and laptop.
- Physically able to move items weighing 25-50 lbs. and the ability to bend, climb, reach, kneel, etc. for extended periods.
- Prior professional experience working in the garage door industry is beneficial but not required.
- Mon - Fri daytime hours, some weekend hours may be required as needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift items weighing at least 75 lbs.
- Ability to multi-task and handle a fast paced, labor-intensive environment.
- May require evenings and weekends.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Submit to and successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background, and driving records check.
- Forklift certified or willing to become certified.
- Service Titan experience preferred.
- Garage door parts experience preferred.
- Computer literacy.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Cycle counting / inventory processes.
