Qualifications

Objectives of this Role

• Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with high employee morale and food safety being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
• Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, loading docks processes, and shipping
• Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
• Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
• Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and food safety standards are met
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, customer service, and employee accountability.
• Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency.
• Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed
• Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
• Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to retail locations and internal facilities, communicating with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of packages
• Hiring, Training, Discipline, and Termination of warehouse employees.

Skills and Qualifications

• Must know how to drive a 26' box truck
• must be able to lift 60 pounds.
• 5+ years' experience in a warehouse 3+ years' experience in supervisory or management role leading a team of 15+
• Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
• Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
• Ability to work with all levels of company staff
• Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
• Experience in food related manufacturing, FIFO, food safety regulations, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Forklift certification required.

This position requires moderate physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting and use of heavy machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. This position requires nearly continuous standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead. Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures of coolers and blast freezers.
