Role Summary/Purpose

In this role, you will lead the production associates for a $60mm/year, 350,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility. Heading up a team of hourly employees, you will develop and implement processes/procedures that drive improvement in critical Supply Chain objectives of EHS, On Time Delivery, Productivity, and Quality. This role will also accelerate and support cultural change efforts that will develop/improve team performance.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Motivate team(s) to achieve goals in asset utilization, process and manufacturing loss improvement, delivered quality, delivery, and cost reduction
  • Learn and employ Lean Manufacturing concepts in area of responsibility
  • Partner with procurement and planning in forward looking material reviews that anticipate and resolve material shortages
  • Responsible to effectively communicate and enforce company goals, policies, and procedures
  • Technical support & production troubleshooting and coordination of manufacturing releases
  • Drive and influence change and build a high performing team
  • Ability to learn and master software tools
  • Administer and approve time and attendance for all employees in assigned work area
  • Lead development and deliverer of synergy projects between both shifts
  • Determine manpower needs to meet facility measurement and budget goals, i.e. Scrap
  • Assist workers with questions they may have regarding machine or material
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist team members in resolving work problems
  • Read and understand customer specs and work instructions
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure an injury free environment
  • Train personnel in the proper methods and procedures
  • Ensure, identify and sustain all training records to the correct and accurately maintained
  • Lead and instruct on best manufacturing practices

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability and willingness to ensure supervision of the facility (weekends and holidays, as required)
