This role is part of our Youth & Recreational Sports group, comprised of technology platforms such as SportsEngine HQ, SportsEngine Motion, SportsEngine Play and SportsEngine Tourney. We enable athletes, parents, coaches and team administrators in the youth and recreational space to manage their organizations, collect payments, share schedules, find programs to participate in and connect with other families. Additionally, NCSI enables leagues and organizations to properly screen and train coaches in an effort to keep kids safe.
Job DescriptionThe Sales Compensation Analyst will serve as the main point of contact for all sales commission activities, supporting the SportsEngine Go-to-Market teams.
- In collaboration with key leaders, help develop, modify, and implement sales compensation structures and incentive programs that align with company goals.
- Using advanced techniques, analyze sales performance data and compensation metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Oversee sales compensation management systems and related reporting, ensuring accurate calculations, reporting clarity, and timely distribution of commissions, bonuses/SPIFs, and sales contest payouts.
- In collaboration with HR and Legal teams, ensure compensation plans comply with legal requirements and maintain policies and procedures documentation.
- Issue and track all commission-related documents to commissionable employees and managers; maintain all relevant commission plan templates and executed agreements.
- This role may be expected to support non-compensation-related analysis projects as needed.
- A successful Sales Compensation Analyst will quickly build a deep understanding of the business and effectively communicate results and present recommendations to leadership team members.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years experience with sales compensation/commission models, data analytics, data visualization, or data aggregation with a preference for candidates with experience specific to the SAAS industry
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related fields; or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting Sales Compensation plans and commission structures
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. Optimize existing SQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and advanced analytical functionality.
- Experience collaborating with Human Resources, Legal, and Payroll teams
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred characteristics include being results-driven, highly organized, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Preferred candidates will have best-in-class data skills including SQL, Excel, dataset manipulation, and data visualization.
- Experience with CaptivateIQ and/or DocuSign a plus.
Additional Requirements
- This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the Minneapolis, MN office a minimum of three days per week.
