Job Summary:
Beaver Creek Resort is looking for a leader to join its Retail Team. The ideal candidate will manage the overall day-to-day operation of our Beaver Creek Sports Village Location. This position is responsible for merchandising, financial management, sales staff supervision, and overall store management. Oversees hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling of store personnel. Responsible for sales generation and growth, inventory control, controllable expenses, point of sale, merchandising, loss prevention, and store appearance.

- Drive the highest level of sales and service culture within each store with a focus on enhancing and optimizing revenue opportunities
- Ensure the stores are aligned with Beaver Creek Resort and VRR policies & objectives
- Demonstrate comfort, adaptability, and out-front leadership of all day to day operations and seasonal store setups and ramp-downs
- Develop a robust development program for the store’s Assistant Manager, and Supervisor team, with a focus on personal and professional empowerment and development
- Drive excellence in all areas of store operational standards
- Generate sales, and demonstrate and maintain a professional standard of guest service
- Evaluate sales trends and create methods for sales growth
- Manage inventory control and meet or exceed inventory goals
- Be a model and administer company policies and guidelines
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and maintain quality store teams
- Enforce company cash handling policies and procedures, and other loss prevention policies
- Provide training resources in POS, product knowledge, guest service, resort information, and sales
- Conduct performance appraisals for and coach development of staff on a regular basis
- Maintain all company paperwork according to policies and standards
- Manage operational budget

Operational Expectations:
- Sales Training- Develop staff in demonstrating the ‘GUIDE’ experience- every guest, every time
- Coaching and Monitoring- Ensure that all store teams are given the opportunity in performance improvement, and development goals are created for growth
- Recognition- Drive a store culture of employee engagement through recognition and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Progressive Discipline- Ability to recognize corrective action opportunities, and ability to demonstrate accountability & present coaching discussions.
- Communication and Reporting- Ensure that all time-sensitive assignments are completed and clearly communicated in a timely manner.
- Physical Organization- Ensure that all Beaver Creek Resort and Vail Resorts standard operating procedures are adhered to on a consistent basis.
- Merchandise Maintenance- Maintain store merchandising standards directed by the Merchandise Specialist. Ability to maintain close, collaborative relationships with merchandisers and buyers.
- Promotional Appearance- Ensure that all sale signage, price adjustments, and other promotional fixtures are executed in a timely manner as directed by the buyers and merchandise specialist.
- Loss Prevention- Ability to implement all LP measures & practices. Adhere to all preventive policies and ensure buy-in from store teams.
- Risk Management – Ensure 100% compliance in all risk management-related areas, including safety, and incident reporting.
- Product Management- Ensuring that all movement of products from; DC to Store, & Store to Store, are maintained and regularly audited for inventory integrity.
REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years management experience
- Minimum of 3 years retail experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- English fluency
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
Preferred:
- Snowsports industry knowledge
- Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems'
- Multi-unit or high volume expereince
The expected pay range is $55,000 - $69,900 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
