Stamford: 

At NBC Sports Headquarters in Stamford, CT, you’ll have access to great perks and amenities including free shuttle service to/from the Metro North Stamford train station and the office, as well as discounted admission to Chelsea Piers Athletic Club. 

Summer 2025 Recruitment Timeline:   

  • November 4 – December 6: Applications Open (may close early due to applicant volume)

Summer 2025 Internship Program:

  • Program Dates: June 2 – August 8, 2025 
  • Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.  
  • Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from Orlando, FL.

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: 

IT Support & Operations:  

Partner Care Support & Implementation – Our Partner Care Implementation Team is responsible for consulting, implementing, and onboarding our operations technology solutions which Partner Golf Courses use to successfully run their businesses. As an intern for our team, you will have direct interaction with people in entry level positions all the way up to the Vice President of the department.  

Direct-to-Consumer Services – At GolfPass, we aspire to be GOLF’s most forward-thinking and customer-centric platform: To become the one-stop shop where golfers come to Play More and Play Better by finding and discovering everything needed to connect with their passion. Direct-to-Consumer is a key priority for GOLF with fast moving and aggressive growth goals. This role must operate with a startup and entrepreneurial mentality, a quick learner, that works in a deep partnership with stakeholders across the business     

Data Science:  

Decision Science – this intern will assist handling the inputs and outputs of our operational algorithms, assist in running the algorithms, makes inferences about the data and research new methodologies of enhancing the inhouse processes using operations research and advanced analytics techniques.  

Finance: 

Financial Planning & Analysis – This team is responsible for budget creation, communication, and management across GolfNow and SportsEngine. We also support ad hoc financial analysis, manage communication of financials to internal stakeholders and NBC Sports HQ, manage and track headcount, and in general, work closely with all departments within the businesses. 

Engineering:  

Sports Engine Software Engineer -  As an intern in the SE Core division, you'll gain hands-on experience across multiple tech stacks while being fully integrated into our development workflow. You'll be involved in every aspect of the software development lifecycle working on essential features that form the backbone of our platform. Working alongside experienced engineers who are passionate about mentoring, you'll learn firsthand how to build and maintain our applications. Through knowledge sharing and direct guidance, you'll develop the skills needed to contribute to systems that matter. Being part of our team means your work will have meaningful impact, as you help create and maintain the fundamental functionality that both other engineering teams and end-users rely on every day. 

Qualifications

Basic Requirements: 

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (June 2025 through August 2025). May 2025 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2025 Internship Program. 
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits). 
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States. 
  • Must be willing to work in Orlando, FL. 
  • For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.  
  • NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number. Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.   

Desired Characteristics: 

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred. 
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. 
  • For Direct to consumer-Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar a plus 
  • For Direct to consumer-Experience using Adobe PhotoShop for image resizing 
  • For Decision sciences- Proficiency in SQL 
  • For Decision sciences- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R 
  • For Decision sciences- Proficiency in Excel 
  • For Partner Care Support-Basic knowledge of Golf 
  • For Engineering: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related technical field & Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language 

The hourly rate for undergraduate student interns is $17.50 

The hourly rate for graduate student interns is $18.50 

The hourly rate for Finance interns is $22-25. 

The hourly rate for Decision Sciences is $30 - $35.00. 

The hourly rate for Engineering is $20-25.
