Restaurant Assistant General Manager is responsible for daily oversight of the food & beverage operation and staff. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Ensures guest service standards are adhered to by staff. Will report directly to the restaurant General Manager.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:
  • The responsibilities include and adhere to implementing and following all policies of the department and company.
  • Supervises and assists in daily training of managers and hourly employees and maintains open communication between all personnel working in department.
  • Maintains appropriate beverage/food inventories and quality control with the service of alcohol.
  • Ensures quality control and timeliness of food/beverage service.
  • Assists in controlling labor/beverage/food cost for department.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures to ensure employee and guest safety.
  • Understands all LLCB regulations and ensures compliance of all applicable liquor laws for the department.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal and state gaming regulations.
  • Achieves budgeted revenues, control expenses and labor costs, and maximize profitability within all areas of beverage outlets. Maintains company operating standards.
  • Demonstrates professionalism that reflects our brand and company values.
  • Responds to guest trends, needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
  • Ability to extend complimentaries in accordance with the property comp matrix.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills to Help You Succeed:
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
  • Requires thorough knowledge of restaurant/bar practices and procedures.
Qualifications

Must-Haves:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4 Year College Degree or equivalent with course work in restaurant management preferred.
  • At least 3 years prior experience in restaurant/night club management required. Multi-unit management is a plus.
  • Must speak fluent English, with ability to speak other languages preferred.
  • You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.
  • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live's operating standards.
Physical Requirements:
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
