Job Overview:

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide physical therapy services to home health patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This part-time role is ideal for a PTA seeking to work one shift per week in a flexible and patient-centered environment. You will assist in implementing therapeutic programs, monitor patient progress, and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Implement physical therapy treatments as per the plan of care established by the physical therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising physical therapist.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, mobility, and overall physical health maintenance.
• Assist in improving patient mobility, pain management, and independence in the home setting.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licenses: Licensed to practice as a PTA in the state of Kansas.
• Certifications: BLS certification required within the first two weeks of employment.
