Max Pay Rate $16.58
Schedule: 6AM-230PM Monday - Friday
OT: Roughly 4 hours of OT a week/
Environment: Overall, the plant is at a lower temperature than normal warehouse areas. The general temperature on the dock is roughly 30 degrees and the freezers can range from 10-20 degrees. We ask colleagues to wear layers to allow for them to take off what is needed for that day versus not having enough layers to start with. This position will be on the dock area to receive trucks and departing trucks.
Steel toed (stell or composite) above the ankle.
Top 3 Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Timely, reporting to work on time and completing tasks in a timely manner. Attention to detail, someone being able to pay attention to the smaller details of processing a order for a truck or customer.
Equipment: Scan guns- use warehouse computers and equipment in a safe and professional manner. Use of pallet jack
Day to Day Duties: Packaging materials or finished goods into containers for the purpose of protection, display, and handling. Selects products from inventory and assembles, packs, and transports to staging areas for shipment. Required to work in freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse and to maintain the appropriate productivity standards. Loading and unloading product deliveries as required. Maintain accurate records of shortages and reports them to Supervisor. Deliver stacked pallets to assigned area on loading dock in an effort to ensure that products are accurately staged and can be systematically loaded.
Interviews: Tour facility to ensure the temperature is not discouraging to the candidates. Give them a hands on example of what the role consist of.
Plant Standards:
Employees must maintain personal cleanliness.
Fingernails should be trimmed and clean.
Clothes must be neat, clean, and not potentially offensive.
Clothes must fit well and not be revealing, too tight or too loose.
Sleeveless, halter, tank strapless, and midriff-baring shirts are not allowed.
Steel toe shoes are required.
Remove all jewelry and objects that could fall into equipment or food.
No jewelry is allowed to be worn or taken into a food handling or processing operation or any area where food is exposed. Exceptions shall be made for plain metal wedding bands without stones or medical alert jewelry that cannot be removed.
Nail polish and/or artificial nails or other nail adornments shall not be worn.
No false eyelashes or other adornments will be worn in the processing areas.
Clothing with embellishments/accoutrements (e.g., rhinestones, bedazzlements) is prohibited.
0-3 Years of Experience, Receives, unpacks, checks, and stores merchandise or materials. Fills requisitions and orders. Packs, crates, and ships products and materials to distribution center, departments, or assembly line. May operate fork lift. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with required years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
