Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler who is proficient in reading schematics and utilizing fine tools. The ideal candidate will excel in using hand and power tools such as micrometers and calipers, and be comfortable working with their hands for extended periods. You will start by training on the FCSD line and eventually move to the level 1 SCI Line, mastering various equipment work orders. This role values quality over quantity of work.
Responsibilities- Train on the FCSD line with the goal of moving to the level 1 SCI Line.
- Read and comprehend blueprints and schematics for assembly tasks.
- Use small tools and fine motor skills to assemble products.
- Work at the beginning of the assembly process, passing completed products to the next station.
- Undergo 4 weeks of basic training with a team member and receive peer assessments on all work.
- Ability to read and comprehend schematics.
- Proficiency in using fine tools and small hand tools.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools including micrometers and calipers.
- Familiarity with mechanical torque wrenches.
- Capability to use hands for long periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and inspection skills.
- Experience with wiring, soldering, and using a microscope.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
- Familiarity with crimping and general production processes.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a very clean and organized industrial environment, specializing in the design and manufacture of auxiliary power converters and on-board systems for railway cars. The dress code includes steel-toe boots and work pants, with the recommendation to dress in layers during the fall and winter. The shift is Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
