Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire experienced full time Dual Diagnosis Social Worker with behavioral health experience to provide comprehensive assessments for patients who experience acute mental health symptoms and substance use and assists the patients with discharge planning. Flexible shifts and flexible schedules are available.

ABOUT SILVER LAKE HOSPITAL

Silver Lake Hospital's Dual Diagnosis program provides inpatient treatment for adults who experience acute mental health symptoms and substance use. Our Dual Diagnosis program offers quality behavioral health care for adults and provides a safe place for patients to work on mental health and sobriety. We have a qualified and experienced team of clinicians that are here to help. Our individualized program will provides patients with the support and expertise to make recovery a reality.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Social Worker will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide basic consultation/evaluations, complete specialized social work services for patients/families, crisis intervention, short-term therapy and discharge planning doe adult dual diagnosis patients. The Social Worker will also provide information and referrals as needed. Supervises and directs communications and involvement with referral sources, community service agencies, businesses, employers, and healthcare facilities/organizations. Ensures compliance for quality patient care and compliance with DNV standards, CMS, state health department, and all other regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current licensure by the State of NJ. Licensed Social Worker (LSW) is required. LCSW Preferred (Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
  • Master's Degree in Social Work.
  • Minimum of (4) years experience as a Social Worker in a behavioral health environment required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with others.
  • Skills required: Critical thinking, analytical, interpersonal, organizational
  • Ability to prioritize and work autonomously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and reliability.
  • Ability to relate well to patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
