ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for executing maintenance tasks under the oral and/or written direction of the Maintenance Manager in accordance with state laws and regulations while following Progressive Treatment Solutions ("PTS") standards. The Maintenance Worker provides support for all construction and maintenance procedures throughout the building coinciding with mechanical and operational equipment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for executing maintenance tasks under the oral and/or written direction of the Maintenance Manager in accordance with state laws and regulations while following Progressive Treatment Solutions ("PTS") standards. The Maintenance Worker provides support for all construction and maintenance procedures throughout the building coinciding with mechanical and operational equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Plans work according to standard procedure and as the upkeep of the facility and garden demand.
- Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples include but is not limited to drywall, repairing doors, painting, and fixing plumbing issues.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of facilities.
- Reports needed supplies to direct supervisor as needed.
- Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
- Reports all accomplished work orally or written to direct supervisor.
- Coordinates with management to ensure that accurate information and documentation is always maintained.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Prolonged periods of hand use
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
Education and Experience:
- To remain compliant with state law, you must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related experience preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Knowledge of general carpentry or repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and teams.
- Positive, proactive attitude that reflects the many hats worn by all employees at PTS.
- Knack for performing under pressure, is flexible and adaptable.
- Fundamental electric knowledge.
- 5+ years related maintenance experience.
